Marta Lovisolo is a Senior Policy Advisor Europe at ECCO, based in Brussels.
Marta has been working on climate policies since 2019, with a focus on energy efficiency and policies related to the use of renewables for industrial decarbonisation.
Marta ensures that ECCO’s work on Italy reaches European stakeholders, in order to better represent its national specificities and best practices within the European political space, where most climate and energy policies are shaped and debated. In Brussels, she supports communication and advocacy strategies and manages relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, the media and opinion leaders.
Before joining ECCO, Marta working for Bellona Europa, where she managed the energy programme and led a cross-cutting campaign to ensure that hydrogen certified as “green” is produced from additional renewable sources. Marta was also a board member of RGI and part of the steering committee of the Hydrogen Alliance.
She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental and Energy Policy from Sciences Po in Paris and in European Economic Policies from the Hochschule Für Wirtschaft und Recht (HWR) in Berlin.
Marta is a committed pro-European who believes that the challenges the world faces, particularly the climate crisis, require regional and global collaboration to reach credible solutions.
