Marta Lovisolo is Senior Policy Advisor Europe at ECCO
Marta has been working on climate policy since 2019. Over time she has worked on energy efficiency and policies related to the use of renewables for industrial decarbonisation.
She has a master’s degree in Environmental and Energy Policy from Sciences Po Paris and one in European Economic Policy from the Hochschule Für Wirtschaft und Recht (HWR) in Berlin.
Based in Brussels, Marta ensures that ECCO’s work on Italy reaches European stakeholders, to better represent its national specificities and good examples in the Union’s policy space, where most climate change and energy policies are designed and debated. Marta supports ECCO’s advocacy and communication strategy and manages the relations with ECCO’s main stakeholders, policy makers, media, and opinion makers.
Before joining ECCO, Marta worked for Bellona Europe for 4 years, managing the energy programme. In particular, she led a cross-sector campaign to ensure that hydrogen certified as “green” is produced from additional renewable sources. She was also a board member of RGI and part of the steering committee of the hydrogen alliance.
Marta is a staunch pro-European, who believes that the challenges facing the world (climate first and foremost) require regional and global collaboration to achieve a credible response.
