Lorenzo Carrozza works as a Senior Policy Advisor Parliamentary Affairs at ECCO
Lorenzo is an Italian parliamentary assistant specialised in environmental law, with experience in implementing the Agenda 2030 and integrating the Paris Agreement framework in the Italian decision making and policy programming process.
He started his professional career in 2010 at the Italian General Consulate of Vlore, Albania, Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. In 2012 was appointed Policy Advisor to the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA).
Between 2013 and 2018 he worked as parliamentary assistant at the Environmental Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, focusing on environment, energy and climate policy and legislative formulation. From 2018 he works as legislative consultant and policy advisor for Italian Senate of Republic and Chamber of Deputies representatives on sustainable development issues. He is involved in the harmonization of the Agenda 2030 framework in the Italian decision making process, working on inter-ministerial coordination for the revision of the National Sustainable Development Strategy at the “Steering Committee Well-Being Italia” within the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministries.
Lorenzo holds a M.Sc. on “Innovation and Development” from Università di Roma La Sapienza, a M.Sc. on “Local development in protected natural areas” from Università di Teramo, a M.Sc. on “Environmental Law” from Università di Roma La Sapienza, a Bachelor Degree on “Cultures for communication” from Università degli Studi dell’Aquila. He also attended post lauream specialization courses at Centro Interuniversitario di Ricerca per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (CIRPS) – Università di Roma La Sapienza, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS – University of London) and LUISS School of Government.
