Eleonora Cogo is a Senior Associate International Finance at ECCO.
Eleonora works on international financial architecture reform and climate finance.
Before joining ECCO, Eleonora worked as a Senior Scientific Manager at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) Foundation. As a member of the Italian delegation, she participated in the UN climate change negotiations (UNFCCC), where she negotiated for the European Union. She was co-chair of the European Expert Group on Adaptation and a member of the Board of the Adaptation Fund. Previously, she worked as a Senior Project Manager on emission reduction projects (Clean Development Mechanism) and carbon credits at Ecosecurities in Oxford, and on the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU-ETS) at Alperia Bartucci SpA.
Eleonora holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Trento and a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Aalborg University in Denmark. In 2016, she obtained an Master in Business Administration from IE Business School in Madrid.
In 2017, Eleonora won Italy’s Global Impact Challenge and participated in Singularity University’s Global Solutions Program at NASA Research Park in Silicon Valley. In 2020, she created ‘Change Game,’ a video game designed to help players understand the complexity of climate change, which was recognised among the Best Innovations at the Italian Video Game Awards. She is an expert on SingularityU and speaks regularly about innovation, technology and climate change.
